29th July, Bukit Kiara  - Adeline Choo Wan Ling will represent Malaysia at Warsaw, Poland for the 56th hunt for the most beautiful woman in the world – Miss World 2006 on 30 September 2006 following last night’s crowning. Accompanying her at her moment of glory were Miss Malaysia World 2005, Emmeline Ng Shu Wei; 1st runner-up, Cassandra Athene Patrick; 2nd runner-up, Stephanie Mak Siin Chi, 3rd runner-up, Sim Van Ren.

Subsidiary title winners comprised of MixFM Glam Girl, Amanda Eng Wei Ru; Miss Congeniality, Stephanie Mak Siin Chi; Miss Crowning Glory, Nivitha Nagappan; Miss Body Beautiful, Chantelle Soo Nen Xian; and Miss Beautiful Skin, Marina Suwendy.
The Gala Evening was held at the Sime Darby Convention Centre where over 800 guests and 19 hopeful finalists of Miss Malaysia World 2006 pageant convened last night. The 47th year of “Beauty with a Purpose” also had the pleasure of the company of guest of honour, Human Resources Minister YB Datuk Seri Dr. Fong Chan Onn.
Asha Gill, the Master of Ceremonies added to the glitter and glitz of a spectacular evening with performances by Malaysia’s top entertainers - Anuar Zain, Nora, Noryn Aziz, Flop Poppy, Disagree whilst ethnic / contemporaire couturier Tom Abang Saufi showcased her exquisite garments at a fashion parade which also included a fantastic show of courage and fighting spirit by breast cancer survivors at the ‘Walk with Pride’ segment.
The “Beauty with a Purpose” motto lends on beauty as the stepping-stone to reach out and touch people. As Miss Malaysia World, Adeline will also have the opportunity to step up as an ambassador for this year’s beneficiary - Pink Ribbon Deeds (PRIDE) to raise awareness on breast cancer.

The panel of judges comprised of guest judge, Jericho Rosales - Actor, celebrity from the Philippines and Couturier, Tom Abang Saufi; TV Presenter, Soong Ai Ling; MixFM Announcer, Richard Ng and Celebrity Make-up Artiste and TV Host, Alex Eu.

At the press conference, Executive Producer of Miss Malaysia World 2006 and General Manager of Model.com, Amin Hussen said, “I’d like to thank all who’ve been involved in making tonight happen. We wish Adeline Choo all the best for Miss World 2006 and look forward to supporting her every charitable cause”.

Adeline Choo, the newly crowned Miss Malaysia World 2006 walks away with a cash prize of RM12,000, one year free professional hair services from Hair Connections, one year water supply from Eau Claire, make-up worth RM1500 from Shiseido, a chocolate bouquet worth RM600 from Patchi, a three-month gym pass from True Fitness, the MMW 2006 trophy and sash.
