21st March, Sepang - Requiring no less than 348 vehicles including 107 bikes for smooth operations of the 2007 Formula One Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix, Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is turning to sponsors; offering a win-win formula to benefit both parties.

SIC Chairman Datuk Mokhzani Tun Dr Mahathir today said with worldwide exposure for all its international events especially the upcoming Fl race next month, corporate companies would secure huge mileage through their association with the circuit.

"To move further, SIC needs the support from the corporate sector and together, we can develop a mutual win-win formula for the benefit of all parties,' he said at the official unveiling of Naza KIA as the Official Media Shuttle Provider for the circuit.

Providing 16 two-liter Naza Ria MPVs for the upcoming Formula One Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix, Naza would also be backing the Japan GT Championship in June, the Merdeka Millennium Endurance race in August, the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix in October and the A 1 GP Malaysia in November with a similar support.

While its requirement for media shuttles already being taken car by Naza, SIC was still looking for sponsors for its other vehicle requirements which included circuit shuttles, buses, bikes and a host of official cars.

While commending Naza in supporting SIC's efforts to develop motorsports in Malaysia, Mokhzani hoped that more companies would come forward and joined the circuit in the national agenda to take Malaysian motorsports to a higher level and build world champions among Malaysians.

"It is my sincere hope that Tan Sri Nasimuddin and Naza's commitment and dedication in supporting our efforts to develop Malaysia's motorsports industry would be a source of inspiration for others to follow.

Held at the fourth leg of the Fl Roadshow at One Utama in Bandar Utama, the ceremony was also attended by Tan Sri Nasimuddin SM Amin, chairman of Naza Group of Companies.

To run until Sunday, the road show was part of SIC's efforts to create excitement and to hype up the ninth edition of the 2007 Formula One Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix, which would be held at Sepang Fl Circuit from 6th to 8th April.
