- In conjunction with its
10th edition of the 2008 Formula One
Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix (PMGP) this
year, Sepang International Circuit (SIC)
is offering a host of offers for ticket
purchasers including a special offer for
those can produce their Main Grandstand
tickets for the inaugural race in 1999.
SIC General Manager Datuk Azmi Murad said,
"We will have a host of other discounts as
well and it's all in the spirit of
Celebrating 10 Years of Passion in the
organizing of the 10th edition of the
Formula One Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix
here in Malaysia."
"All offers, however, are only for limited
period only and I would like to urge
racing fans who are making plans to catch
the race live in Sepang Circuit to take
full advantage of these offers," he said,
adding that other offers including a 99
percent discount on a second ticket for
purchases of the RM1,000 Main Grandstand
Tower tickets.
For purchases of the Main Grandstand
Turquoise tickets priced at RM1,100, fans
can buy a Main Grandstand Topaz ticket,
which costs RM500 each, at a 50 percent
discount, said Azmi, who is the event
director for the 2008 Formula One Petronas
Malaysian Grand Prix.
"There's also the direct offer of free
tickets upon purchases. For purchases of
three Topaz tickets, you get one free; for
purchases of three C2 Hillstand tickets;
you get one free C2 ticket and for
purchases of three Hillstand E tickets,
you get one free," he added.
Under the campaign, SIC would also be
offering a 50 percent discount for
students and senior citizens for purchases
of one-day Main Grandstand Citrine tickets
and three-day of the covered C2 Hillstand
tickets, which are priced at RM500 and
RM200 respectively. Holders of GP Passport
would be entitled to a 10 percent discount
on purchases of F1 PMGP 2008 Main
Grandstand tickets.
"We also have special offers for on-line
purchases through our official website
where they can but a special package of a
Grandstand F Platinum ticket, a limited
edition 2008 PMGP cap, headset and lanyard
all for a promotional price of RM410.
"Similarly, there would also be special
prizes for purchases of Grandstand tickets
at our road shows, where fans will get a
limited edition PMGP 2008 T-shirts and
cap," Datuk Azmi said, adding that the F1
roadshow would kick off at Mahkota Parade
in Melaka at the end of the month before
proceeding to Johor Bahru, Penang and the
Klang Valley in
February.
Sepang International Circuit offers
packages with various options such as
purchase one Main Grandstand Tower ticket
at RM1,000 and get second ticket at only
RM10. Option B allows purchase one Main
Grandstand Turquoise ticket at RM1,100
with 50 percent discounts for one Main
Grandstand Topaz 3-day ticket. Options C
allows purchase three Main
Grandstand Topaz 3-day ticket at RM1,000
each and get one Main Grandstand Topaz
3-day ticket for free. Option D able to
purchase three Hillstand C2 ticket at
RM200 each and get one Hillstand C2 ticket
for free. Other option D able to buy three
Hillstand E ticket at RM100 each and get
one Hillstand E ticket for free. This
value added promotion valid from 1st
January to 31st January and can be
purchase at SIC Ticketing counter and SIC
KL Sentral office only, with single
receipt entry
For package E, you may
purchase fifty percent discount for
students and senior citizens for Main
Grandstand Citrine 1-day ticket at RM500
each and Hillstand C2 ticket at RM200
each. While package F, ten percent discount
for purchase of all non-promotional
tickets for GP Passport holder. You may
also choose package G , while purchase one
Grandstand ticket at normal price at SIC
F1 road shows and get ONE PMGP 2008
T-shirt and cap for free. This offers are
valid from January 1st to March 23rd, can
be purchase at roadshows.
For selected packages
offers from January 1st to February
28th, buyers may bring one readable PMGP
1999 purchased ticket and get ONE
Grandstand F Platinum ticket at only RM99,
or purchase on-line a package of ONE
Grandstand F Platinum ticket and get free

campaign called the 10 Thrilling Offers
for PMGP 2008
Malaysia would be hosting the second round
of the 2008 Formula One World Championship
from March 21st to 23rd. The new season would
open in Albert Park, Melbourne at the
Australian Grand Prix from March 12nd to
16th.
Targeting 125,000 spectators for the race,
SIC aimed to make the 2008 Formula One
Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix as the best
ever in its history; hoping to score a
Perfect 10 on event organization and
spectator enjoyment for the 10th edition
of the PMGP.
