29th January, Kuala Lumpur - `Real Women Behind the Beauty' is the theme for 45th Miss Universe Malaysia 2008 Pageant. The winner will receive a cash award of RM25,000.00, a winning crown, trophy, designer outfits worth RM60,000.00 to participate in the 2008 Miss Universe Pageant plus personal appearances assignments worth about RM80,000.00 during the one year reign and many fabulous products & gifts from the pageant sponsors.

"All Contestants are young and posses natural beauty, intelligent and inherits sense of social consciousness. 14 aspiring states contestant will vie for the coveted title 2008 Miss Malaysia Universe which will be held on Friday, 30th May. The winner will be the proud Ambassadress to represent Malaysia at the 2008 Miss Universe Pageant to be held in Nha Trang, Vietnam from 17 June - 15 July 2008.
