January, Petaling Jaya – 43 tourism
international delegates from countries around
the world join together in a dazzling display of
personality, cultural and tourism in their quest
crowning of 5 international titles in the 12th
Miss Tourism International 2008 World Final,
which was held at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa
recently.
The pageant's theme this year was "Green the
Earth" aimed at helping to create awareness in
view of growing concerns about global warming
and climate change and also to celebrate green
cause.
At the event, model lass from India, Manasvi
Mamgai was emerged as Miss Tourism International
2008. The 21 years old delegate like dancing and
singing was also named Miss Popularity
subsidiary title. Brazil delegate Cibele
Franczak, 25 was choose Tourism Queen of the
Year International 2008. Miss Tourism
Metropolitan International 2008 title went to
Alma Mulalic, 19, an accounting student from
Bosnia of Herzegovina. She was also named Miss
Elegance subsidiary title. Miss Tourism Global
2008 title went to Ananya Chinsangchai, 20, from
Thailand. The 20 years old student was also
named Miss Trendsetter subsidiary title. Hong
Kong delegate Ruby Wong, was named Miss
Cosmopolitan International 2008. The 5
international titles winner walked away with
cash, sash, crown, trophy, batik wear, cosmetic
set and cash voucher by sponsors.
Judges for the 12th Miss Tourism International
2008 World Final were violinist Joanne Yeoh,
celebrity Elaine Kang, supermodel Carmen Khor,
celebrity Sara Loo, protocol and image
consultant YM Dato' Paduka Toh Puan Seri Diraja
Noor Aini Abdullah, Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa
General Manager Mr. Jean Jacques Kiefer and
Deputy Director-General of RTM Dato' Adilah Shek
Omar.
Coronation Night is the biggest ,most
prestigious and unique that it is the only
annual New Year's Eve World Final pageant in the
world. Firstly host since 1994, the president
and franchise owner, Miss Tourism International Datuk Danny Ooi said the event proven to be
special and significant one as international
delegates are having sweet memories during stay
and they are taking good experience to their
homeland, sharing and promoting Malaysia in
tourism map around the world.
Other subsidiary titles were; Miss Body
Beautiful (Martina Besikova of Czech Republic),
Miss Charm (Ioana Mosneagu of Romania), Miss
Glamour (Giselle Elizabeth Riveros Diarte of
Paraguay), Miss Radiance (Ankica Kovacevic of
Cyprus), Miss Crowning Glory (Zhang Jia Nan of
China), Miss Personality (Kristine Dzidziguri of
Georgia), Miss Youthful (Albertina Fransisca
Mailoa of Indonesia), Miss Eco Friendly (Benita
Schmitz of Germany), Miss Fitness (Janine Allen
Robertson of United Kingdom), Miss Gorgeous (Johana
Riva Garabetian of Uruguay), Miss Photogenic (Albertina
Fransisca Mailoa of Indonesia), Best in Talent
(Angela Ching of Malaysia), Miss Friendship
(Angela Ching of Malaysia), Best in National
Costume (Shin Suna of Korea).
Miss Tourism International titles winner and
delegates also joined the others in a special
15-second countdown event to welcome a brand new
year.
